So, what's in the name? Believe it or not, nothing at all to do with a dog! "Flog The Dog" is an old seafaring term used to reference the “dogs†aboard ships in the early 1900’s. When the band was formed we felt this theme reflected our passion and commitment; a fitting name to marry with the quality of the musicians in the band.

Absolutely brilliant band! We had flog the dog play at our wedding this weekend, and they couldn't have been better. Even the non dancers were up and dancing. The lads were all really professional and friendly, and Steve made the whole booking process really easy. Can't recommend this group highly enough.

Flog The Dog played at our wedding last Dec at Listowel Arms. We had seen them play in Ballybunion the previous year and they were brilliant. They did not disappoint with their performance at our wedding. All our guests loved their music and their style. I would highly recommend this band! The lead man Steve is excellent character and got the crowd going. Would love to see these guys again at a wedding I attend in the future.

Flog the Dog made our our wedding dance what it was! We couldn’t have asked for better. From the moment we booked them till the big day Steve kept us right and replied to all emails quickly! They even learned a couple of Scottish songs which surprised our Scottish guests. They kept the dance floor full the entire night! We can’t thank them enough.

We had Flog the Dog play at our wedding on the 9th of June 2018 in Vienna Woods Cork, and they were absolutely brilliant. From the start they were excellent to deal with, responding promptly to any queries that we had. We were asked for a few songs that we might like to hear, which were all played superbly, and they learned the song that we requested for our first dance. Everyone was up dancing, and they really got the crowd going. All of our friends and family complimented on the band and how good they were. Myself and my wife highly recommend Flog the Dog to be anyone's wedding band. The range of music played is second to none. Brilliant band and excellent to deal with. Highly Recommend.
