Peter Rowen is regarded as one of Ireland's leading Photographers.
He has won numerous national and international awards including a Gold Award by the New York based Graphis Journal of Communication ( possibly the only Irish Photographer to ever do so ) and was announced as Weddingsonline Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2009. He was also a finalist in 2014.
With a background in Commercial Photography and a client list that includes Lexus, Sky TV, RTE, Eir, The Gate Theatre, Element Pictures & U2 Peter has also shot for all of Ireland's best known publications including The Irish Times, Image Magazine & The Gloss Magazine.
In 2002 Peter set up 'Peter Rowen Weddings' Steering firmly away from traditional Wedding Photography he shoots in a documentary style, literally capturing the details and moments of the day as they unfold before him.
'I was never a fan of traditional Wedding Photography where many of the shots taken are setup and staged so when I started shooting Weddings I decided I was going to do something totally different..
Rather than line people up and ask them to smile I decided to capture the real smiles, the real emotions and true atmosphere of the day. It's a really nice way to shoot a Wedding... no one feels pressured to perform and the couple are free to enjoy their day. The results, I hope, speak for themselves.
Peter is based in Dublin, Ireland but is available to shoot worldwide.

I trained as a Commercial Photographer but have been documenting weddings for the past 18 years and I absolutely love it. My aim when I shoot is to be completely unobtrusive and discreet, allowing you and your guests to just enjoy the day. The end result is a collection of beautiful images that will artistically capture the atmosphere and essence of your Wedding Day. A little about myself... I live just 20 km outside Dublin City in the countryside of County Meath with my wife Natalia and my 5 yr old son Zac. In my spare time, I love to mountain bike, snowboard and ride my motorcycle.

Our photos are magical! Thank you for capturing everything so wonderfully in such a unique way. We are totally blown away. We knew we had to have you as our photographer and these photographs just show we were so right. They are truly beautiful. You have captured the spirit of our wedding.
